Fashion Art benefits Art for AIDS 2016

Art4AIDS2016

Since 2010 I’ve been honored to participate in a unique art experience to benefit AIDS Connecticut, with a portion going to ACT’s permanent endowment, The Richard B. Fried Fund, administered by  Hartford Foundation for Public Giving. ACT is a statewide coalition of organizations that provide services to people living with HIV/AIDS in Connecticut.

Each artist is given a 12″ x 12″ blank canvas with which to create a donation artwork and an opportunity to showcase one of their own pieces. Lucky ticket holders get to walk down the wall of art and select the canvas of their choice. It gets pretty tense if you’re waiting to choose and someone else grabs the piece you wanted! With great food, wine and music, it’s become one of the “must-go” events of early summer each year. This is also an amazing experience: I’ve not only stretched myself artistically, I have also met some of the most talented artists in Connecticut and give to a cause I believe in!
